Simone Rueß
Simone Rueß, born in 1982 in Weingarten, Germany. Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart (2008) and postgraduate studies in sculpture at Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts under professor Grzegorz Kowalski (2009).
Her works have been shown in following solo exhibitions: Studio Gallery, Warsaw (2010); Wizytujaca Gallery, Warsaw (2009); Interface Gallery, Dijon (2013); BWA Gallery, Zielona Góra (2013); Centre-Culturel Franco-Allemand, Karlsruhe ( 2013); Kunstverein Hechingen, Germany (2015); Kunstmuseum, Ravensburg (2015); Akademie Schloss Solitude, Stuttgart (2017); zwanzigquadratmeter, Berlin (2019); JEDNA DRUGA Gallery, Szczecin (2020). The artist has participated in numerous group exhibitions among others in: Kunsthalle Recklinghausen (2009); Künstlerhaus, Stuttgart (2011); Städtische Galerie Karlsruhe (2011); Raum für Aktuelle Kunst, Berlin (2017); Museum der Unerhörten Dinge, Berlin (2018). Simone Rueß is also a performer: Maskarada, Studio Theatre, Warsaw (2010); Aufzeichnung, Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart; 20 flats in 10 years, part 1&2, BASE Milano, Milan (2018); collecting 788 memories in zqm Berlin (2019). She is a recipient of numerous scholarships including: Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris; Z.E.A. in Milan; support from DAAD; Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart; Kunstfonds, Baden-Württemberg; 7.Stock in Dresden; BWA and Salon Foundation in Zielona Góra. Her works in the collections: Ministerium für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kunst Baden-Württemberg and Landesbank Baden-Württemberg, Kabel BW.
